GSH Residential Real Estate Corporation was formally known as Goodman Segar Hogan Residential Sales Corporation and was founded in April, 1952. The company started its operation in the building now occupied by the Norfolk Sales Center at 4141 Granby Street. Its founders were Robert C. Goodman, S. Barron Segar, Hunter A. Hogan, Jr. and Oscar B. Ferebee, Jr. Mr. Ferebee was the managing partner of the corporation.
Goodman Segar Hogan changed its name to GSH Residential Real Estate Corporation in January of 1987 when Mr. Goodman, Segar and Hogan retired from the boardbordbordbord Board of Directors of the firm. Mr. Ferebee retired in 1992 after leading the company for 40 years.
The company that was founded with four salesman is today one of the largest real estate organizations in the Hampton Roads area with offices located from the Oceanfront to Williamsburg and south to the Outer Banks.
