A RamblePosted by Vincent Talerico in Real Estate Video |
|
Today, in the bumper to bumper traffic during the rush hour drive home to get back to my laptop, I was thinking about some of the dilemmas facing the real estate industry. For instance, Florida (the gulf side) has been hit extremely hard with the bursting real estate bubble. The traditional real estate model is now being pushed to its capacity with many constantly evolving real estate start-ups across the nation. MLS data is finally being released (our MLS system held back as long as they could) to third party providers, agents, and brokers. As other industry professionals have been watching and chatting about the new age “Real Estate Video” aspect, we have all been inundated with a spectrum of visually appealing slide shows, youtube clutter, .tv dramas, and social networking sites that have grown from nothing into something, almost over night.
Even with all the changes, it’s been real estate video that has received the majority of the attention and produced the real estate tsunami for everyone to ride. Does the consumer want high quality, interactive video? Can the internet help correct the market faster than the crises in the 80’s? It’s obviously not just something that started yesterday…the real estate industry is changing faster than the consumer can keep up with. For me, this breeds opportunity for the Realtors and company I have been working for…it’s invigorating to say the least. So, as I continue to develop website after website, I am going to take another swing and re-establish “Via Virginia”…
Oh, and one more thing. Evidently its not just the consumers that can’t keep up with the changing real estate industry, technology, etc. it looks like a few people out of Canada took it upon themselves to bring the final solution…I’ll let this sink in for a minute, do some work, and come back as soon as possible to continue my rambles.
